One thing that I love about homeschooling my family is the ability to not only teach my children and watch that spark flash in their eyes when something finally clicks although this is a pretty great feeling. Nope my all time favorite is that we are creating memories while learning.
When one is deciding to homeschool instantly there is a flash of fear that goes through our minds.
- What if I mess up?
- How in the world am I going to be able to teach them everything that they need to know before they have to leave the nest?
- What curriculum is going to be the best choice?
- How in the world am I going to balance it all?
- How am I going to afford it?
Frankly many of these questions cause us to never take the plunge into homeschooling land.
What we seem to forget is the awesome advantages that come with homeschooling.
- The ability to spread out your school day.
- The possibilities of the things you teach are endless.
- You can cater to your child’s specific needs.
- You have a chance to ultimately create amazing memories.
- Your children have a chance to see the fun and serious sides of you.
Recently I was given a chance to have such a moment. You see not only do I teach our oldest who was once in public school and now is my test subject as we tackle 5th grade together. But, I also have 3 preschool children. Now this can make things a bit of a challenge. Yet recently The Multi Tasking Mom was asked to do a review for Peekapak. This is a program designed for preschool children. Since at that moment I was the only one in the writing team over there who has preschool aged children Stephanie gave me the honor of testing this product out on our children.
I knew that testing this product out on the twins would go well. However with my second oldest I knew that it would be a struggle. He bless his heart is just like his momma stubborn and easily distracted. By the end of our session however he and I both walked away smiling. Why? Because we not only learned but we created awesome memories together.
If you would like to see the activities that we did and to well just get some sneak peek shots of my male mini me then I strongly suggest you go check out my review on the Peekapak. Who knows if you are look to create memories while learning then this just may be the product you are looking for.
