As a year round homeschooling family, we don’t take conventional breaks from our school year. However, every year we take off two weeks before the new official school year begins so that I can blanket our homeschooling year in prayer.
Blanketing Your Homeschooling Year in Prayer
Being a typical homeschooling momma I get so overwhelmed with curriculum choices, mapping out goals, and scheduling out the homeschooling year that I forget one of the most important things. No, it isn’t the decorating of the homeschooling room, the school supplies or the traditional first day back meal supplies. Instead, it is actually sitting down and inviting God into our new homeschooling year.
Blanketing Our Homeschooling Year Will:
- Help us to focus on what’s truly important.
- Keep us centered as we continue to map out and attempt to establish a new school routine.
- Allow God to provide us with the peace and calm that only He can provide.
As I blanket our upcoming year I feel that it is important to have reminders and to be able to pray all the same scriptures throughout the year. And I would love to help you practice blanketing your homeschooling year as well. So as a gift to you I would love for you to have these free scripture cards!
Lord-
Help us to remember that though academics are important that our main focus should be pointing our children to you. Lead us in the direction you would have our school year to go. I am laying this new school year at your feet.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
I pray you all have an amazing 2017-2018 homeschooling year.
Until Next Time Just Keep Soaring 4 Him,
