Be very careful, then, how you live- not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16
Every time I see these verses instantly I think of all the opportunities that I have missed to reach other. How many times I have refused to step out of my comfort zone to do something that God wanted. I also think of the times I was busy living life the way that I wanted to that I was truly missing the mark on my Christian walk.
It is so easy to get caught up on living life that we forget what our purpose truly is. What our goals should be? We even forget to make time for God to show us what our next moves should be? The fact of the matter is we waste time on unimportant things and forget to truly focus on the tasks at hand. Reaching lost souls and ministering to each other.
These moments that we waste well these are moments that we will never get back. I think that is why I work so hard on this ministry because I want to make sure that I did the best that I could and that I took my task at hand very seriously. Is this something that everyone will understand? No but it is the truth.
Now we don’t have to be running an online ministry to be busy promoting Christ. This can be done every time we wake up in the morning and we teach our children how to pray. It happens while we are going about doing our housework reminding ourselves that we are doing this for God’s glory because believe it our not this is providing our children with a strong testament of your character which later they will put together with your spiritual walk.
When we walk out the door we share God’s love by the way we treat others which will in turn cause them to ask questions and eventually seek God for themselves. The way that our demeanor is to those who don’t know us at all can be a huge blessing or it can be a huge curse.
We do not have time to get sloppy on our walk with Christ. We do not have time to slack. The way we live now could mean the difference between someone seeking salvation or not. No pressure right? So strive to try to serve in anyway that you can. Seek guidance to make what time you have left profitable to God.
I would like to invite you to my Facebook group Christian Homemakers in Training where we dive into homemaking, motherhood, marriage and group devotions. After all, we all need a safe place to grow together, right?
