Every day is a new day. A different day. A different part if our journey. Every day has its new challenges. Every day carries its share of setbacks and even some of its own encouraging steps forward. But, it is hard to keep pressing onward on our path even when we don’t want to.
The fact is it is easy to become discouraged on our walk with Christ. Let’s face it sometimes it gets downright hard! Let’s think about it we are doing everything that we can to be pleasing to God. Yet, when we look around it seems that those around us who are living in the world are getting everything they want. I must admit that sometimes I have to battle inner demons about this. I think if we are being honest I am not the only one who struggles with this. After all, it is hard not to!
Yet in Philippians 3:14 we are reminded that we need to keep pressing forward to receive our prize. Our rewards are not supposed to be given to us here on Earth. Instead, we are to wait to receive them in Heaven. I don’t know about you but I am pretty sure that the rewards we will receive in Heaven will be far better than anything this world has to offer.
This gives me strength.
This gives me hope.
This gives me something to look forward to.
God knew that we were going to need this kind of encouragement. These words remind us that no matter what we have a great reward coming to us no matter what everyone else in the world is receiving.
Be encouraged.
Rest in God.
Trust that our rewards are coming.
Until Next Time Just Keep Soaring 4 Him,
I would like to invite you to my Facebook group Christian Homemakers in Training where we dive into homemaking, motherhood, marriage and group devotions. After all, we all need a safe place to grow together, right?
This was a great reminder for me today. It is so easy to keep going forward when my feelings are telling me to do that, but when I don’t feel like it and have to choose to, it becomes so difficult.
Yes, I totally understand. That is when we have to rely on God’s strength to carry us through. Thank you so much for stopping by
