I never understood the importance of prayer warriors. Honestly, I felt as long as I was in direct communication with God then that was all that matters. It wasn’t until I had true Christians friends in my life that I really started to understand the importance of prayer warriors.
Here are some of the benefits of having a prayer warrior:
Prayer warriors are more than someone you ask to lift your prayer requests. Having prayer warriors actually develops deep friendships with like-minded people which are something we all need.
Having prayer warriors means that you have someone that you have someone that you can seek counsel from. Prayer warriors can be a great source of information, They can offer words of encouragement or a swift kick when you need it most.
Prayer warriors help hold you accountable. Accountability is something that even the most disciplined person needs. As a matter of fact in the world today we need this now more than ever.
Prayer warriors provide you with simple reminders. They remind you that you aren’t alone. They remind you that even though the world can be harsh there is still joy to be found in it.
Prayer warriors help you to stay focused. It’s so easy to loose focus. Sometimes we simply become distracted on what we want that we forget we need to focus on what God wants.
Of course, having great prayer warriors means you need to also strive to be a great prayer warrior which can be hard in a day and age where most are only consumed with what is going on in their own personal lives. In order to be a great prayer warrior here are a few things you need to know.
- Make sure to give. Give your time and energy. Don’t simply dominate the prayer chain. Everyone is going through struggles.
- Speak solely from wisdom. It is so easy to give worldly advice. When we do that we can steer out fellow prayer warriors wrong. Instead, we need to search God’s Word and commit to only sharing those truths.
- Remember to set aside time to pray! Being a prayer warrior you will find that not only are you lifting up a fellow friend but that your own personal prayer life will begin to grow.
I would love to hear from you:
Do you have prayer warriors? How have you found that they truly make your life better?
