This week we as a family are hosting a huge event. Our second oldest son turned 5 on Feb. 14 and we are finally hosting his big birthday bash. Of course being my child he had to be different and want a theme that was no longer mainstream which has caused this momma to panic as I tried to plan and organize his big event. All the details have been overwhelming to say the least. It has also made me very thankful that we only host big events like this on monumental birthdays and has a family decided that special dinners were more than enough for all other birthday celebrations. What a wonderful reminder for me this week to continue to read in Exodus this week about all the details that went into the garments and the ark that God had in mind for His people. (Exodus 36-40)
God had everything planned out in such a specific order and design. He knew the materials that He wanted and He entrusted only those whom He had given the skills to complete these tasks the ultimate job of building these very important articles. Yet, He had a way for everyone to particapte. You see just because others didn’t have the skill to build it did not mean that He wanted to exclude them. Instead He laid it on their hearts to donate the materials. No job was too small when it came to carrying out His ultimate design.
God designed our placements in lifes.
God hand picked our specific skills.
God entrusted us all with important jobs that only we can do to His specific needs.
Sometimes I feel as though we simply forget that each of our placements in life are intentional. We are in a certain season of our walks so that we can learn something, we can grow spiritually and we can of course impact those around us through our all that we are exposed to .
I truly believe we meet no one by accident. In fact they are hand picked and placed there by God.
I truly believe that we do not walk through not one trial for no reason. Instead it is so we can strengthen our faith.
I truly believe that there is no detail too small in our lives that God does not care about.
I truly believe that we all have gifts that God has given just to us to further God’s kingdom.
As wives and mothers we all deal with details daily. We know how to comfort our children, we know what things our husband’s like and we even have the ability to plan out wild events. Yet even with all our planning skills and all our micromanaging abilities that they will ever compare to the details that God has mapped out for our lives. However, it is up to us to chose to obey and follow His instructions so that someday we can see the big picture.
Until Next Time Just Keep Soaring 4 Him,
I am blogging through the Bible with some great friends. Each week we share our thoughts on passages that we are reading together through the week.
