Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:30-31
If you have read Isaiah chapter 40 then you know that it is full of reminders of how God never looses His strength and how He never grows weary. As I go about my daily tasks I often find that this is not the case for myself. I get tired from cleaning what seems to be the same messes over and over again. I grow weary when I am rejected when I am sharing God’s truths with others. Ladies just like you I get very tired.
More often then not I stumble just like all of you. I am no were near perfect. In my Christian walk I find that I fail horribly when it comes to being consistent in the way of instant obedience. I fail when it comes to my outlook on certain things. Oh the list of my short comings is pretty long just like I am sure everyone else’s is as well.
There Is Hope:
We can rely on God for strength to carry on!! We must trust that He has put us right were we are needed at the moment. Yes, we are serving our purpose for the season that we are in right now. Often when I start to grow weary I realize that my spiritual walk may not be where it needs to be. I need to step back a re-evaluate what it is that I am doing most of the time I am not in God’s word the way I need to be. I am not praying and seeking guidance as much as I need to.
Other times I find that I am growing weary because my goals and proprieties are not the same as what God wants. Oh I could write a book with examples of this one. God’s desires for me do not always match up for the desires I want for myself. Sometimes I just don’t want to learn the lessons He wants me to learn. Sometimes I want to be more about myself and less about others. When I try to tackle those tasks that are pleasing to only me I run into major problems. Things do not work out the way they are suppose to . I get frustrated. I get annoyed and then I have to once again stop and ponder what it is that I am doing wrong in that moment.
When You Are Weary:
When you are growing weary might I suggest that you to stop and pray. Seek guidance and understanding. Trust in what God is trying to tell you. Seek the wisdom that He provides in His word. And then draw strength from what is being revealed to you. Allow God to comfort you in your time of need. He wants to help you and to comfort you. But first you must be open to it.
Are you growing weary in your walk? Maybe it is time to talk with God.
Until Next Time Just Keep Soaring 4 Him,
I would like to invite you to my Facebook group Christian Homemakers in Training where we dive into homemaking, motherhood, marriage and group devotions. After all, we all need a safe place to grow together, right?
What a beautiful reminder! I really needed to read these words today. It’s so easy to become weary. I like to recite Galatians 6:9 whenever I grow weary!
I am so glad I was able to provide you with some encouragement in your time of need. God always puts things in our paths just at the time we need them most. Thank you for stopping by.
When I grow weary, many times it’s because I have stepped away from Jesus, the plumbline of my line. When I remind myself of who I belong to and walk in His way, I feel refreshed. Isaiah 40:30-31 was the life verse for our homeschool, Eagle Christian Academy and I still hold those verses close to my heart today.
Thank you for the reminder.
You are so right. I am so glad you stopped by today and shared your words of encouragement 🙂
