Recently I have been reading my new feed and I am quickly reminded why I stopped watching the news. There is so much going on around us. Government troubles, kids are missing , people are being killed and countless other things are happening to good people. Sometimes it is hard to remember that God is still in control.
We may not always understand why these things are happening and sometimes it makes us even makes us wonder what in the world else bad could happen. And still God is in control. It is in these times that we must remember that our days on Earth are numbered. It is in these times that we need to step up our efforts in reaching out to others. Time is indeed running out.
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. 2 Timothy 3:1-5
How Do We Remember God Is Still In Control:
We can feel it when we step outside and feel the warmth of the sun on our face.
When we listen to someones testimony we can feel feel God’s spirit in their words rush over us.
When we receive a hug from a loved one we can be reminded that God put that person in our life.
……God is still in control…….
We can be reminded of this every time we open our Bibles and read His Words
We can be reminded when we take time to cry out to Him
We can be reminded when we stop and just look around at the perfect design of the world around us
We may not know what the future holds for us, for our children or even out grandchildren. But there is one thing that we can be certain of…………..
God is and will forever be in control
Take time today to reach out to someone else who may need to be reminded of this. Chances are we all know at least one person who could use the reminder.
Until Next Time Just Keep Soaring 4 Him,
I would like to invite you to my Facebook group Christian Homemakers in Training where we dive into homemaking, motherhood, marriage and group devotions. After all, we all need a safe place to grow together, right?
