I have always been under the impression that Bible studies were just Bible studies. That it didn’t really matter if there were held in mixed company (which there is nothing wrong with ) or with a group of women. However, over the past couple of years I have learned something very important. Participating in women only Bible studies is soothing for the soul.
No matter what we have been led to believe women need to socialize with other women. We need to be surrounded by those who understand the struggles that come along with being keepers of our homes, mothers to our blessings and wives to our men. No matter what others say we need those kind of relationships. With all that being said I know that it is also hard to be able to leave your homes to seek out these studies when you have little ones under foot. That is when there is actually some good that can come from all the social media that we have.
Over the past few years I have been participating in online Bible studies. Mainly, just Good Morning Girl studies that have closed groups online, as well as, email groups. The friendships and encouragement that I have found there have become irreplaceable to me. In fact I am pretty sure that those women often know more about what goes on in my life then some of my own family members. Of course I would love to have you join us. As Women We Need:
A place where we feel safe.
A place where we can gain encouragement.
A place where we can know that we are not alone in our struggles.
A place where we can pray with and for each other.
This summer we will be studying:
Courtney from Women Living Well does such an amazing job explaining each weeks reading and relating it to our everyday lives. She also offers free resources to help with recording your thoughts during your alone time with God. There are daily questions as well as a printable journal. Be sure to check out Good Morning Girls to learn more about this amazing Bible study. This study will start on June 15!!
Also for this study she has made a cute Proverbs Journal that is just perfect for recording your thoughts in and is sleek enough to pack to take with you on your family vacations. Though this journal isn’t free, it is well worth the price and all proceeds go to helping make new journal books for the fall session. (Aff. link warning)
