It is amazing to me how much control music can have on someone. Yet for me I know that certain types of music can make me feel all kinds of different ways. This music effects my mood which in turn effects may family’s mood amazing how that happens.Which is also why we must be careful as Christians to the type of music we listen to. I call this the musical effect because our music can effect us in so many ways.
Now this weeks Making Your Home A Haven challenge is to play classical, worship or soothing music. Now I have to admit I am a K-Love fan. Yet, this music keeps me pumped and ready to clean which is great but it does not set the mood for peace or calm. So I have been listening to my K-Love in the mornings and I have been switching to classical and soothing music in the afternoons. Wow what a difference it has made. Even the children are being effected by it.
Now we are suppose to be working on gentleness and self control this week as well. To me it has been amazing to see the effect that having a candle lite and playing soothing music has helped with this. I mean seriously, I may need to start a Bridget needs more candles fund LOL.
I will be praying for you ladies who are going on this journey with me and I would love it if you would pray for me as well. Also I would love to hear what kind of musical effect is going on at your house as you start switching up the music you all are listening to a bit. To see the details on this challenge be sure to head over to Courtney on Women Living Well.

I would like to invite you to my Facebook group Christian Homemakers in Training where we dive into homemaking, motherhood, marriage and group devotions. After all, we all need a safe place to grow together, right?
I love the hymns because they have so much truth in them. But some of the newer songs are good. I love classical music and that plays in our house most of the day.
I have dis covered that I do like a variety of music. I not only like gospel, but classical and Western music as well. The lyrics are key.
