The start of a new year is always an exciting one. To me it is always like starting to write on a brand new slate. It is also something that I take very seriously. Like most I take time to evaluate myself and I attempt to make changes that I see that need to be made. However, I don’t really believe in making New Year Resolutions. Those I feel are just setting you up for disappointment and disaster. Mainly because we try so hard in the beginning to make changes and sadly a lot of those times we do not take time to seek God’s advice on what we actually need to be working on.
2014 was a major year of changes for me. In 2015 I am hoping to continue to use those changes and actually build on to them. For example as you know we began our homeschooling journey in October and I would like to be able to share with you the things that I have learned here. During my long meditation break over the holiday season I sought out what all God wanted me to change about myself, my home and yes even here. Of course He showed me lots of areas that needed improvement in all the different aspects of my life.
Did you seek out the direction that God wanted you to focus on for 2015? Today I am talking about the importance of seeking God’s guidance for our new year over at Worshipful Living. I would love it if you would join me over there. Oh, and while you are there don’t forget to say hi.
I would like to invite you to my Facebook group Christian Homemakers in Training where we dive into homemaking, motherhood, marriage and group devotions. After all, we all need a safe place to grow together, right?
