Have you ever sat down and really and I mean really thought about the beauty of salvation and what it truly means? In the Old Testament, there is account after account of God stepping in to protect His chosen people. They turn their backs on God and still God is right there with open arms ready to express His love for them.
When Jesus died on the cross He opened up the gates for all of us, not just one certain group. He put us all on the same playing field and does so willingly because He loves all of us!
Salvation Puts Us on an Even Playing Field
This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. Ephesians 3:6
Salvation opens up the same dialect and relationship with God that only the original chosen people once had. The moment we received the gift of salvation we became one of God’s chosen people that originally was only limited to the Israelites. Jesus put us on the same playing field!!
All He Askes Is:
- For us to step out in faith.
- For us to seek Him in everything that we do.
- For us to study God’s Word and really allow it to soak into our hearts.
- For us to strive to apply His teachings in our day to day lives.
- For us to share the gift of salvation with others so that they too may be saved.
The fact is that as Christians, we have no reason not to be overjoyed every time we think about salvation. As Gentiles, we should be doing cartwheels because thanks to Jesus Christ, we can call ourselves one of God’s chosen people.
