In the era that we live in it is hard to raise children who are thankful. I used to could not for the life of me figure out why that was exactly until I really started to pay attention to others. What I find was that our children are just imitating the things that they see us do. They see us working super hard to keep up with the latest and greatest things instead of being thankful for the things that have already been provided for us.
We are teaching our children thankfulness daily by our actions. We are teaching our children how to be thankful by the way we actually treat our own life situations. We are teaching our children how to be or how not to be thankful every single day. Recently I talked about just this over at Worshipful Living. Be sure to check it out to see if you are promoting thankfulness in your own homes.
